Nathan lives near the water in Vancouver. He records using antiquated means. He eats mostly fruit and soup. Nathan writes songs like children write songs; he sings of robots, cartoons, life under the sea, board games and super heroes. Acoustic guitars, hand claps and shakers dominate his low-fi sound. The ocean is almost always present. Underneath the sailboats, there is a murkiness that permeates his melodies and lyrics that is difficult to characterize, but undeniably present.
