Hey Predator! is a montreal-based sextet formed in the summer of 2007. Comprised of varying degrees of musicians, vagabonds, and maybe even a poet, the band blends an arsenal of intricately-woven guitar riffs and dynamic time signatures into a frenetic collage of art, math, and noise. their output is jagged and disjointed, constantly torn between melody and immediacy, teetering on the brink of attack. as all the parts of the machine flail across the stage, the essence of heypred becomes poignantly evident: caught in the throes of their craft, their live performances embody the struggle against processes of decay and the myopia of constitutive perception that pervades their musical output. The experience is sometimes dizzying, with those in the audience often left wondering who is predator and who is prey in the never-ending dialectic of hunter and hunted.
