This is what we’ve been working on for the last couple weeks. As we told you before we try to get things moving here in Trois-Rivières. This is going to be the first event of a serie of concert we will put on once every month. It’s called “Feux de Forêt dans le désert” Our main goal is to introduce bands we love & respect, bands who respect themselves too, to the people of the area. We’d like to bring our support to performers who still believe in a more “independent” way of doing things. Feel free to contact us for details. Come enjoy with us here in T-R.

Voici ce sur quoi nous travaillons depuis les dernières semaines. Comme nous en avons déjà écrit un mot sur ce site, nous essayons de faire bouger les choses ici à Trois-Rivières. Ce spectacle sera le premier d’une série qui devrait avoir lieu chaque mois. Le titre de la série : “Feux de Forêt dans le désert”. Notre principal objectif étant de faire découvrir au gens des alentours des groupes que nous aimons et qui nous inspirent le plus grand respect. Everything still fine, fine, fine. We are actually planning our activities for the weeks to come and trying to get people from our area involved in it. For those who don’t know we are located in Trois-Rivières, QC and we still work our ass off to bring music and bands we love to all of those young and old, small and tall, bearded and classy… kind people.

NEWS: we learned that unfortunately, for some reasons that we totally understand, Picastro, who was supposed to play on June 20th at the Aribin Sillah’s 2nd Anniversary Showcase, will not be able to make the show. After all this year’s complications, Depost Through The are finally going to record their first EP by the end of this month. At this point, it still has no official title yet, but we can tell that it will contains three songs the band has been carrying from place to place since their beginnings. Très important. The recording will be done with the extremely appreciated collaboration of Mr. David Bryant at The Pines, a lovely recording studio located in Montreal, Qc.
So…….. if everything goes well, we could expect the final result to come out in the following months.

I just thought you should know that we’ve started recording for a full-length we hope to release early next year. We’ve done two sessions so far with James Clemens-Seely at Mcgill’s sound recording facilities, and plan to do a few more come january. James is the man. He’s made the whole process really enjoyable, and he’s an invaluable asset in the studio. He’s going to mix and master the effort as well, so as you can probably imagine, we’ve all been sporting shit-eating grins for the past few days. It’s awesome. We really can’t thank him enough. Two or three songs have been fully tracked, so we’ll likely post some new demos sometime in the near future.

In honor to celebrate aribinsillah.com’s 1st anniversary, we’ve decided to make some little and big changes! Making it, in our opinion, easier and faster for you to get the informations you want about what’s going on in the family.

Most important. We’re incredibly proud to present, as you will see, our new store! Yes. Yes. You can now get all the stuff released on Aribin Sillah Recordings (at least the remaining ones). But, there’s still lots of highly expected materials to come in the next weeks and months and, believe us, we’ll do our best to keep you informed about all of that.

We hope that we’ll get in 2009 the same support and interest that we had from all the nice people we’ve met through this experience since the beginning. There’s still superb moments to come and to share with everyone who may lend an ear.

Finally, all our thanks to Jean-François Cossette, our longtime good friend and partner. For the great work he has always did, the time he spent on getting the best for us and his faithful involvement in this process. Thank you Jeff. We would truly not be here without your collaboration.
